Who we are
KUDU
TRAVEL AFRICA

Kudu Travel Africa was born from a dream Victoria and Javier share: a love for Africa and a desire to show it the way we have lived it.

After years travelling the continent — from the Okavango wetlands to the Serengeti plains, from the Namib dunes to the Bwindi gorillas — we set out to design tailor-made journeys for those who want to cross Africa with time, judgement and conscience.

Todas las fotos que veis aquí están hechas con nuestra cámara. La prueba más honesta de lo que podéis esperar de nosotros.

Spain EST. 2025 Private journeys For a responsible tourism
Ten countries, one philosophy

Every destination, written by hand by us.

We design private routes through Southern and East Africa. These are the geographies we know — because we have walked them, driven them and slept in them — and the starting point from which we imagine your trip.

Map of Africa — Kudu Travel Africa destinations
01
Namibia — 01 / 10
Southern Africa · Desert + 01 / 10

Namibia

The oldest dunes on earth, and a silence that does not fit in words.

Sossusvlei at sunrise, the pale skeletons of Deadvlei, the seals of Skeleton Coast, the Himba in Damaraland. Namibia is the most beautiful road movie there is: four wheels, a camera, and horizon as far as the eye can see.

Best season May – October Length 10 – 14 nights
02
Botswana — 02 / 10
Southern Africa · Delta + 02 / 10

Botswana

The Okavango is fresh water spilling into the Kalahari and creating one of the most intimate safaris on earth.

Mokoro at sunrise in Khwai, herds of elephants in Chobe, lions in Moremi, and mobile camps where the only soundtrack is the river. Botswana is our favourite place to begin to understand Africa.

Best season May – October Length 8 – 12 nights
03
Zambia — 03 / 10
Southern Africa · River + 03 / 10

Zambia

Walking safaris in South Luangwa and the Zambezi gorge a step from the void.

Walking safaris were born here. Tracking through South Luangwa with a local guide, leaning into Devil's Pool at the edge of the falls, and sleeping at family-run lodges by the river. Zambia is honest — postcard-free.

Best season June – October Length 7 – 10 nights
04
South Africa — 04 / 10
Southern Africa · Cape & bush + 04 / 10

South Africa

From the Cape of Good Hope to the Sabi Sand — a complete journey in a single country.

Cape Town with its vineyards and penguins, the Garden Route to Plettenberg, the private safaris of the Sabi Sand. South Africa is the easiest way to begin Africa without giving up a thing.

Best season Year-round Length 10 – 14 nights
05
Mozambique — 05 / 10
Southern Africa · Indian coast + 05 / 10

Mozambique

The Bazaruto and Quirimbas archipelagos — the perfect end to any safari.

Turquoise waters, lateen-sail dhows, dugongs and platters of fresh seafood. Mozambique is the marine pause after the dust of the bush — a calm, warm coda.

Best season May – November Length 5 – 8 nights
06
Uganda — 06 / 10
East Africa · Forest + 06 / 10

Uganda

An hour with the Bwindi gorillas changes forever the idea you had of travel.

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi, chimpanzees in Kibale, tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and the Murchison Falls. Uganda is green, intense and deeply human.

Best season June – September · December – February Length 8 – 11 nights
07
Tanzania — 07 / 10
East Africa · Migration + 07 / 10

Tanzania

Serengeti, Ngorongoro and the great migration — the great classic that is still unrepeatable.

We follow the migration between the Serengeti and the Mara depending on the month, sleep in mobile camps and drop into the Ngorongoro crater at sunrise. If Tanzania is your first safari, it will also be your benchmark.

Best season June – October · January – February Length 9 – 13 nights
08
Zimbabwe — 08 / 10
Southern Africa · Falls + 08 / 10

Zimbabwe

Mosi-oa-Tunya — the smoke that thunders — and the savannah of Mana Pools across the river.

Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwean side, canoes on the lower Zambezi among hippos, and leopard tracks in Hwange. A generous country for those who travel with time.

Best season June – November Length 6 – 9 nights

09
Rwanda — 09 / 10
East Africa · Volcanoes + 09 / 10

Rwanda

The Volcanoes gorillas — and a country that has learned to look forward with dignity.

Kigali, the coffee terraces of Nyungwe, the Virunga volcanoes, and some of the most beautiful lodges on the continent. Rwanda blends memory, nature and a level of service that is hard to find anywhere else.

Best season June – September · December – February Length 6 – 9 nights

10
Kenya — 10 / 10
East Africa · Savannah + 10 / 10

Kenya

The Mara and its big cats, Laikipia in private, and the Swahili coast at sunset.

Private conservancies with walks and night drives, the Big Five in the Maasai Mara, Lake Turkana, and the founding lodges of the modern safari. Kenya is the picture you had in your mind when you first dreamed of Africa.

How we work

Three ways of caring for you.

01

Bespoke trip design

A long conversation, maps on the table, and a hand-written proposal. Every itinerary is tuned with you: pace, lodges, time on safari, time on the beach. No packages, no shortcuts.

+
02

Support during the journey

Nos tienes cerca en cada paso del viaje, con guías locales escogidos uno a uno y una red de contactos en cada lodge. Si algo cambia —vuelos, clima, planes— lo resolvemos antes de que llegue a ti.

+
03

Responsible tourism, by default

We work with local operators, family-run lodges and conservation projects. Small groups, low footprint, direct contribution to the communities we visit. It is not a label; it is the only way we know how.

+

However you travel:

01

Slow luxury

Signature tented camps, private flights between reserves, chefs in the middle of the bush and white beaches in Mozambique or Zanzibar. African luxury: quiet, honest, unrepeatable.

+
02

Families

Itineraries built for every age: lodges with pools, human-scale distances, guides who know how to talk to children, and unhurried days that leave a mark.

+
03

Adventurers

For those who want to walk among gorillas, sleep under the Milky Way, paddle the Zambezi or drive their own 4x4 across the Kalahari. Solid logistics, free spirit.

Who we are
Victoria & Javier
Founders · Trip design

We are two lovers of Africa who, after years of travelling the continent, decided to take the leap and show it to others.

What we offer is not a catalogue. It is a journey thought through with you, anchored in places we know, written at the pace at which you want to travel. Every proposal starts in conversation; every itinerary on a map covered in pencil marks and notes in the margins.

We believe in small groups, in local guides, in sleeping in places where the money stays, and in coming home with the feeling of having learned something that was in no guidebook.

  • 01Private journeys, written by hand, no packages.
  • 02Local operators and guides in every destination.
  • 03Low-impact lodges and conservation projects.
  • 04Support from Spain throughout the journey.
